Big Bad Handsome Man - Imelda May
The man is tall, mad,
mean, and good-lookin'
And he's got me his eye
When he looks at me, I go weak at the knees
He's got me going like no other guy
Chorus
Cause he's my big, bad, handsome man
He's got me in the palm of his hand
He's the Devil Divine, I'm so glad that he's mine
Cause he's my big, bad, handsome man
Oh, the music he plays, the way he moves me and sways
Rocks me to the core
When he sings in my ear, he makes me shiver and leer
Leaves me wanting more and more
Cause he's my big, bad, handsome man
He's got me in the palm of his hand
He's the Devil Divine, I'm so glad that he's mine
'Cause he's my big, bad, handsome man
Trumpet
With his rugged good looks yeah he’s got me hooked
Got me where he wants me to be
With his arms so wide, he pulls me in by his side
He’s the kind of guy that does it for me
Chorus
Cause he’s my big bad handsome man yeah
He’s got me in the palm of his hand
He’s the devil divine, I’m so glad that he’s mine
Cause he’s my big bad handsome man
Ouuuw
My big bad handsome man, yea
He’s got me in the palm of his hand
He’s the devil divine, I’m so glad that he’s mine
Cause he’s my big bad
I’m so glad that he’s my handsome man
Hhmmmm
And he's got me his eye
When he looks at me, I go weak at the knees
He's got me going like no other guy

He's the Devil Divine, I'm so glad that he's mine

"Now that is a fine
looking specimen." The other two girls turned to look at the man standing
up on stage in the night club and they smirked.
"Oh yes." Jamie replied.
"Mhmm." Katie hummed in response.
From their spot in the middle of the smoky bar they could
see the musician's upper body. All of it, bared for the rest of the sighing
women in the room in his tight, grey t-shirt. He continued to set up his
equipment while the three women returned to their cocktails.
"But anyways," Monica turned to her friend and
tipped her drink "you, darling Katie, were going to tell me about this new
man in your life."
She blushed "there's nothing to tell."
"Oh yes there is. You've got a glow, and it's more than
just a sex glow."
Jamie leaned in, giggly and bubbly as ever "you're in love."
Katie pursed her lips, rolling her eyes. "Okay
fine." Her friends leaned in, even as the band with its hunky lead singer
began his power ballad. "He's really sweet, caring, and funny; he's
attentive and intelligent and when he talks, he's talking to me, you know?"
"That's nice and all but how's his ass?"
Katie spit out her drink and Jamie laughed, her voice high
and fluffy "yeah, how's his ass?"
"His ass is...fine."
Monica couldn't help but gape at her friend. "He's a
gorgeous hunk of a man isn't he?"
"Yes!" She collapsed against the table, no longer
trying to hide her grin. "He's tall - but not too tall - and toned and his
fingers are magical."
"Oh girl, he sounds too good to be true."
"Trust me" she sighed "he is."
The girls looked up as the singer spoke, his voice rich and
sultry "this next song goes out to my girl, Katie over there. I love
you."
Slowly, Monica and Jamie turned back to their friend who was
waving back at the musician with a shy grin. "No. Freaking. Way." She
just stared at her friend while Jamie's silently overwhelmed, glossy eyed stare
was enough to convey her emotion.
The girls listened in silence as the musician played a few
chords and began to sing. Katie melted a little more with each note. As the
song ended she turned to her two friends who were audibly sighing "I told
you his hands were magical."
