What price would you pay...to rule the largest mafia Family? My husband has earned his way to the top. But I am anchored down by the past.

I was 25 when the Don selected me as his bride. Cold, commanding, and ruthless - he wanted nothing less than the best. And that was me. Perfectly perfect… and all a farce.

Once he discovers my past, there’s no saving me. Not from his judgment or from the traitors lying in wait. For everyone knows the Family does not believe in dishonor, but they do in murder.

Blue Blood is a standalone, arranged marriage, mafia romantic-suspense.

LILY RAGLEY's TOP FIVE FAVORITE MOVIES

I have to confess: I am not a big moviegoer. When I have a spare moment, I’d much rather curl up with a good book instead. But there are a select few films that help pass me off as a cinephile:

  1. Amelie (2001)

Introverts unite! That’s what this movie makes me feel – like someone cracked open my introverted brain and poured it into a film. Amelie’s hesitance to bridge social relationships, her wild imagination…all of it was so endearing and so relatable.

  1. Pride and Prejudice (2005)

No self-proclaimed romance book lover could skip an Austen adaptation, right? And this one is my favorite. It captures the charm and the heart of the novel, without being a staid word-for-word copy of the book. There are so many little moments that the movie adds that I adore: the dramatic rain proposal, the twitchy hand flex, and so many more.

  1. Roman Holiday (1953)

There’s nothing better than Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck together in one frame. I could just watch them stare at each other. But I loved all the various emotions the movie takes you on, from hilarious escapades to sweet romance and bittersweet farewells.

  1. Princess Bride (1987)

Such a fun and whimsical fairy tale. This movie is the definition of crack humor but in an almost subtle way. There are so many quotable lines and iconic scenes that it’s hard to even capture or justify it here. But the movie, and Westley, have my heart.

  1. The Mummy (1999)

This is probably the most “commercial” movie on this list and for a good reason. I gobbled up every second of this film. It had such a fantastic blend of genres: action, adventure, thriller, romance, and most importantly–Egyptian mythology. No matter how many times I watch it, it always keeps me on the edge of my seat.
